Shackles
Shackles are used in lifting and static systems as removable links to connect (steel) wire rope, chain and other fittings. Screw pin shackles are used mainly for non-permanent applications. Safety bolt shackles are used for long-term or permanent applications or where the load may slide on the pin causing rotation of the pin.
Chain or dee shackles are mainly used on one-leg systems whereas anchor or bow shackles are mainly used on multi-leg systems.

Shackles can either be supplied hot dipped galvanised, electro-galvanised, painted or self colour, depending on the type of shackle and its application.
Eyebolts, Eyenuts And Bownuts
Eyebolts, eyenuts and bownuts are used for lifting machines, appliances or any other objects which cannot be lifted by hand or by fork lift truck. They are all manufactured from high tensile steel and are drop forged.

They eyebolts, eyenuts and bownuts can either be self colour, electro-galvanised or hot dipped galvanised.
Wire Rope Grips
Wire rope grips are used on wire rope eye-loop connections or complete loops, end-to-end connections where socketing or splicing is not feasible or when a temporary joint is required.
The finish is either electro-galvanised or hot dipped galvanised, unless otherwise specified.
Chain Block
The hand chain hoists we supply combine all the features expected by the user; quality, safety and performance - and all this at a favourable price.
Extremely low overall height allows optimal use of available headroom. The enclosed, robust steel plate housing means the unit can be used outdoors. The drop forged suspension and load hooks that yield under overload instead of breaking are made from non-ageing, high tensile steel.
The hooks are fitted with robust safety latches and are free to rotate 360 degrees. As with all our hoist products, only asbestos-free friction discs are used. The surface protected (zinc plated) alloy steel link chain is in accordance with national and international standards and regulations.
Every hand chain hoist is factory tested with overload. The units are supplied with a test certificate showing the serial number and an operating instructions manual which contains an EC declaration of conformity.

Thimbles
Thimbles are used to protect steel wire rope, fibre rope or synthetic rope.
They are available in various models and sizes. All indicated types of thimbles can be used in combination with the above mentioned types of ropes.

Thimbles can be cold-rolled, hot-rolled or die-cast, depending on the specific use of the thimbles, and also come in a painted, electro-galvanised or hot dipped galvanised finish.
Sockets
Sockets are used for fastening steel wire rope to a fixed point to which the socket is to be connected. This can be as an anchoring system for tubes or pipes, anchor wires of dredging material, anchor cables of oil platforms, towing cables or for fastening cables in construction purposes such as bridges, roof construction etc.
Sockets are the strongest steel wire rope end fitting and if they are assembled in the proper way they can meet at least the breaking strength of the steel wire rope. In the past melted zinc was poured into the sockets to attach the steel wire rope; nowadays suitable resins have been developed for this purpose.
Loadbinders
Loadbinders are used for easy and efficient tightening of chain used for lashing purposes. The loadbinders are designed in such a way that they can effortlessly be operated using one hand. S T Lifting can supply 3 types of loadbinders: two ratchet types and a lever type.

Loadbinders are painted red.
Hooks
Hooks are used in lifting systems as a connection between the load to be lifted and the wire rope or chain slings. There are a wide range of hooks available, from drop forged carbon steel hooks to drop forged alloy steel swivel hooks, which are quenched and tempered.
Grade 8 hooks are painted red, where-as carbon steel hooks are self colour. Carbon steel hooks can be supplied galvanised upon request.
Chain
Grade 8 short link chain is suitable for lashing and securing applications. Short and long link commerical grade 3 chain is for general purpose use. These types of chain may not be used for lifting purposes.
S T Lifting offer an extensive range of commerical mild steel, grade 8 short link chain ranging from 3mm up to 20mm.
Mild Steel chain is available in self colour, electro-galvanised and hot dipped galvanised condition. Grade 8 short link chain is available in self colour and black powder coated.
Hardware Items
General hardware items such as carbine hooks, rings, quick links, repair links, s-hooks, and swivel hooks are suitable for many different applications in various market segments such as agriculture, industry, transportation etc..
The items are supplied electro-galvanised.
Stainless Steel Products
Specially in circumstances where corrosion can cause problems, the use of stainless steel products is recommended.
There are a wide range of stainless steel products available ranging from shackles to thimbles, and eyebolts to wire rope clips.
All stainless steel products are polished.
